Local First

About Us
Morocco Desert Nights is run by guides and camel handlers who grew up on the edge of Erg Chebbi — this desert isn't a backdrop for us, it's home.
Our Story
Morocco Desert Nights began with a simple idea: travelers deserve to experience the Sahara the way local families actually live it, not through a rushed bus-tour stop. Our guides grew up herding camels along these same dunes, and many of our desert camps are run in partnership with Berber families who have hosted travelers in Merzouga for generations.
What started as a handful of camel treks for backpackers has grown into full Sahara itineraries for couples, families, and small groups from around the world — but the core of it hasn't changed. Every trip is still planned personally, by someone who knows the desert, not a call center.
What We Value
Guides, drivers, and camp staff are hired from Merzouga and the surrounding villages — your trip directly supports the local Sahara community.
Camels are cared for daily, camps are kept small, and routes are chosen to protect the dunes and desert ecosystem long-term.
We answer WhatsApp messages ourselves, tell you plainly what's included, and never overbook a camp beyond its real capacity.
